The Rehabilitation Center and our employees play a strong role in our local community.  With most of our staff living in South Brunswick Township for fifteen years or more we have had the opportunity to serve our community in many ways.  The following is a short list of our business and employee contributions plus any upcoming events!

  • 4th annual South Brunswick Viking Athletic Club's Run with the Viking's 5K and 1mile Fun Run - November 2, 2008 (we have sponsored this event every year)  Click here to go to the event page!

Past Events/Activities

  • 21st Charlene J. Austen Community Unity Day - October 18, 2008        12 PM - 5 PM.  The Rehabilitation Center is proud to support the South Brunswick Municipal Alliance Against Substance Abuse.

  • Jonathan M. Scharff walked with a former patient in the Alzheimer's Association's "We're On The Move To End Alzheimer's 2008 Memory Walk", October 12, 2008!  The Rehabilitation Center is proud to make a donation to this important event.  Click here to go to our photo page and see a few photos of the walk!

  • Roberta E. Scharff, PT gave a free lecture at the South Brunswick Senior Center on "Ten Safety Tips for the Home".  Saturday September 20, 2008.

  • Jonathan M. Scharff attended the Greater Princeton Chamber of Commerce event at the Weston in Princeton, NJ  Thursday September 25, 2008.

  • Roberta E. Scharff gave free lecture at the South Brunswick Senior Center on "Exercise for the Cardiac Patient".

  • The Rehabilitation Center sponsored one of its patients in the 2008 Arthritis Walk.

  • The Rehabilitation Center sponsored one of its patients in the 2008 Parkinson's Walk.

  • Erin V. Kelly, PT, MPT, ran in the Viking 5K in October 2007 to support South Brunswick Viking Athletics.

  • Roberta E. Scharff, PT gave free lecture at Buckingham Place Residents on "Fall Prevention" in 2007.

  • The Rehabilitation Center sponsors the "3rd annual Run With The Vikings 5k and Fun Run" to raise money for South Brunswick High School athletics.  We are proud to sponsor this event every year.

  • Erin V. Kelly, PT, MPT ran in the Women's Mini-Triathlon in Philadelphia, PA, in June 2007.

  • The Rehabilitation Center donates 20 dozen T-Shirts to South Brunswick High School every year to be given out at pep-rallies, football games & basketball games!

  • Roberta E. Scharff, PT gave free lecture on "Stretching & Exercise for the Parkinson's Patient" to a local support group.

  • TRC sponsored South Brunswick High School Band to competition in Indiana in 2006.

  • Erin V. Kelly, PT, MPT organized and ran a "Health & Fitness" seminar for local seniors to celebrate National Physical Therapy Month in October 2006.

  • TRC sponsored local cheerleading squad to competition in Florida.

  • Roberta E. Scharff, PT has coached several recreational basketball and soccer teams over many years!

  • Erin V. Kelly, PT, MPT has coached many swim teams at The Willows Swim Club.

  • Janet Prendergast has volunteered as a room parent and for many other events in the South Brunswick School System from 1996-2000.

  • Jonathan M. Scharff has coached many recreational soccer and baseball teams over many years!

  • Jonathan M. Scharff assistant coached local hockey team for three years.

  • Jonathan M. Scharff is a former board member of the South Brunswick Soccer Club for many years

  • The Rehabilitation Center sponsored one of its patients in the 2007 Arthritis Walk.
